Sunshine Coast Grammar School provides quality before and after school care in partnership with School Plus Foundation. School Plus are specialists in providing high quality Outside School Hours Care Services with stimulating and age appropriate programs for children. The Program is conducted in a specifically remodelled combined classroom area located directly behind Student Services in the Primary area of the School campus. School Plus Foundation also provide the Schoolís Vacation Care program. This program operates from the Sports Performance Centre during vacation periods. SCGSís partnership with Schools Plus has been very successful. The Outside School Hours Care program ensures a seamless transition for your child to and from the classroom into a relaxed and caring environment. There is an exciting range of activities on offer including arts and craft, sport, construction, imaginative play and quiet time for homework if required. For families who wish to utilise the service, a completed Enrolment Form and Child Information and Booking Form, together with the Ezy Debit form are completed. Enrolment in the program can be on a permanent or casual basis.

The subtropical Sunshine Coast region enjoys an average of 7 hours each day of warm sunshine - one of the highest averages in the world – and year round warm temperatures. It also has comparatively high rainfall and humidity, ideal for its lush green landscapes. In summer the temperature ranges from 17 to 30 degrees Celsius and in winter from between 8 and 22 degrees Celsius.
The Sunshine Coast is a 1.5 hour drive from Brisbane city centre and 2 hours from the Gold Coast and getting to and from the region is clearly signposted along the national Bruce Highway.
Daily coach services connect towns within the region and externally to all Australian capital cities and other Queensland destinations.
Train services run regularly into Nambour from Brisbane with Sunbus connections to hinterland towns and throughout the Sunshine Coast.
The Sunshine Coast Airport is a scenic 10 minute drive to the regions CBD and provides direct flights daily to and from Sydney, Melbourne and daily commuter flights from Brisbane. Shuttle buses meet all flights and provide door to door services to most accommodation.
