Club Rugby

Background:

Rugby started at Grammar in 2000 and soon established itself as the flagship sport at our school. We have an excellent program with approximately 300 boys and girls playing across a range of competitions. Grammar has represented in all state and national schoolboy representative teams and currently have many past players still excelling across the globe, including representatives in the Super Rugby competition in Australia and the Top 14 in France.

Club rugby at Grammar is an essential part of our community and is run by a dedicated group of volunteers.

Grammar Rugby is a values based program. Of greater importance then the on-field results achieved over the years is the continued strength of our community, working together to develop young men and women with character. Rugby at Grammar is more than a game – it is about ensuring that we develop outstanding young people with excellent character who understand success is about discipline, hard work and sacrifice. It is also of great importance that our players are appreciative of their opportunities and are conscious of giving back.
