Sunshine Coast Grammar School Year 12 Students have recently enjoyed a visit from six Brisbane Residential Colleges. These colleges provide accommodation to students while they are under taking their university studies.
Known as the Residential Colleges Roadshow, staff and students were re-acquainted with four Grammar Alumni who are undertaking a range of Degrees at the University of Queensland.
Residing at The Women’s’ College, Tahlia graduated in 2014 and is studying a Bachelor of Psychology. Lola graduated in 2016 and is undertaking a Bachelor of Arts and Business, while fellow 2016 Graduate, Rebecca is also studying a Bachelor of Arts. Patrick on the other hand graduated in 2014 and is in his third year of International Business and Economics at King’s College.
“It was terrific to welcome back our Alumni who not that long ago were in the same position as our current Year 12 Students. Tahlia, Lola, Rebecca and Patrick have truly embraced everything that life in the Colleges offer,” said Dean of Secondary School, Mr David Andersson.
“They presented material incredibly well and enjoyed meeting old and new acquaintances at Grammar”.
While five of the Colleges are on the University of Queensland campus at St. Lucia, all of them accept students studying at any of the Brisbane universities. The Colleges range from men and women only to co-educational facilities.
The Colleges present were Union, Raymont, Kings, St. Leo’s, Women’s and Grace College.
