Sunshine Coast Grammar School has a learning enrichment program that is second to none!

Whilst all units of work in all Key Learning Areas from Prep to Year 12 involve challenge or extension activity, we have a proactive program that allows us to identify students with outstanding ability and those in need of support.

During Term 1 and Term 4 of each year extensive assessment is carried out that enables Support staff to identify students who will benefit from an enrichment programme. Once identified, students enter one or more of our many enrichment programs which include:

• Reading Recovery
• Support-a-Reader
  
• Support -a- Maths
• Intensive Reading
• Intensive Mathematics
• Success Maker
• Primary Extension
• Virtual School for the Gifted

Enrichment programmes focus on the needs of the learner whether this be in the academic area or in developing the skills required to achieve a workplace traineeship.

In the senior school years, each student takes part in a career programme that assists in subject selection and also in developing a portfolio of ideas for future employment.

We are aware of the importance of an on-going need to work through career options and help students to continually evaluate their individual skills and personal goals through programmes such as:
