Offered one of only twenty-Five Tuckwell Scholarships at Australian National University in Canberra, Elena has been studying a double degree in Economics and Finance for the past three years. Receiving a Tuckwell Scholarship is about embracing your desire and determination to use your natural abilities to realise your full potential so that you can make a real difference in the world.

Elena describes her university experience as extremely rich and diverse with opportunities that she could only imagine existed. Completing two internships over the past 12 months at JP Morgan, one of the few global banking and finance organisations with arms in Australia. JP Morgan are represented in seventeen countries across the Asia Pacific region as a global leader in financial services, offering solutions to some of the world’s most important corporations, governments and institutions.

Elena is now in her final year at ANU and has already been offered a permanent position within JP Morgan in Melbourne once she completes her degree later this year.

Head of Secondary School at Sunshine Coast Grammar School, Mr Mel Holland noted, “Many of our alumni have gone on to achieve great things after graduating, transitioning across numerous career paths, and we thoroughly enjoy when they visit. It is rewarding and inspiring to see how they have grown and the wonderful opportunities they have pursued. Sharing their journey across our School community motivates students with responsible citizenship by encouraging them to follow their passion and create their own journey, a skill we embrace in our life at Grammar.”

Elena’s sights are set on working overseas in Investment Banking or Funds Management, and JP Morgan has capacity to enable this to become a reality.
