Grammar leads the way with two students selected in Queensland Squad

Sunshine Coast Grammar School’s Pool Life Saving team have enjoyed some early success leading in the start of the 2017- 2018 Summer Season with two students selected in the Queensland Royal Life Saving Squad to compete at the 2018 Australian Pool Life Saving Championships in Canberra in January.
Tom Reid and Josh Eyles will compete in the under 14’s category and following the completion of the new Grammar Aquatic Centre, they will now have the opportunity to train on home soil in the lead up to the championships.
Teacher in Charge of Pool Life Saving at Sunshine Coast Grammar School, Mrs Jeannie Baxter-Reid is incredibly proud of these students on their selection, they have worked incredibly hard throughout the year she said.
“While the students achieved brilliant results in the pool, they are to be commended on their commitment and are without doubt outstanding ambassadors for the sport,” said Mrs Baxter-Reid.
“We eagerly look forward with anticipation to the season ahead and in particular the 2018 Australian Pool Life Saving Championships in Canberra in January.”
