Secondary Schools Citizenship Award for Tiana Sheehy

Sunshine Coast Grammar School Senior Prefect, Tiana Sheehy has received a Secondary Schools Citizenship Award by the Order of Australia Association, Queensland Branch.

Tiana was one of twelve students in Queensland to receive this award, which is presented to recognize outstanding community service. Tiana was acknowledged for her incredible amount of volunteer work and servant leadership within the school and wider community.

The 18th annual Secondary Schools Citizenship Awards presentation took place at Parliament House in Brisbane. During the award ceremony His Excellency, the Honorable Paul de Jersey AC noted, “Being good is commendable, but doing good is more useful.”

Sunshine Coast Grammar School Principal, Mrs Maria Woods said, “Tiana is an exemplary role model of Australian citizenship. Her contribution to the community embraces the ideals of good citizenship that the Australian Honours system enshrines. We are very proud of her and the wonderful work she undertakes in addition to her studies.”
