Empowering education and strengthening communities

In celebration of National Volunteers Week, we are acknowledging our many support groups throughout our community and the many parents and friends who have dedicated their time and energy to volunteer at our school.

From classrooms, canteen, and sporting events to our Parents and Friends Association and backstage of celebrations, our generous volunteers have made a lasting impact on our school and the lives of our students.

We recently sat down with the President of the Music Support Group, Emma Mills to discuss the importance of volunteering and what it means to her.

Emma has been an integral part of the Group for over five years and enjoys supporting the Music Program.

‘I have witnessed firsthand how our involvement strengthens the sense of community. I am most proud of the friendships and connections I have made and I feel proud looking back at what we have achieved,’ said Emma.

Through their commitment and active involvement, our parents and friends have become valuable partners in creating an enriching educational environment and fostering stronger community connections.

‘When parents volunteer, they become real-life inspirations for their children, setting them up for a lifetime of service and kindness.’

At Sunshine Coast Grammar School, we believe that education is a collaborative effort that extends beyond the classroom. This collaboration creates a powerful network of shared experiences, knowledge and resources.

From everyone at Sunshine Coast Grammar School, we wish to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has volunteered their time, effort and expertise. Your support contributes to the success and well-being of our students, and we encourage you to join us in making a difference.
