When should my child start swimming?
It is great that you’re thinking about your child swimming! 3 months of age is the youngest we cater for; babies are born with a natural affinity to water so the earlier they start swimming the better. That being said it is never too late to start.
What are the benefits of swimming lessons for my child?
Swimming lessons offer a wide range of benefits for children both physical and mental. Swimming lessons promote a healthy lifestyle, improves strength and coordination, boosts confidence and builds water safety skills. It’s also really fun!
What do I need to bring to my babies lesson?
Babies are required to wear a snug fitting swim nappy until they are fully toilet trained. A towel, dry clothes and the same for the carer accompanying them in the water.
How do I enrol my child in lessons?
Enrolment as easy as clicking on the enquiry link! Please contact us with a little information about your child such as age and previous swimming experience. We may need to arrange an assessment depending on age and ability. Our learn to swim coordinator can guide you through the enrolment process and provide all the necessary information.
Are private lessons available?
We do offer private lessons, they are a great option if you have had an extended break from swimming or perhaps starting lessons late and there is a bit of a gap in skills compared to other children the same age. They can also be helpful when dealing with a fear of water. Private lessons are not usually required long term as we aim to address a specific need and then transition to group lessons.
How do I join Squad?
A quick assessment or trial session is required to ensure you are placed in the appropriate level. If you are interested in competitive swimming, we encourage you to also join our club.
Can I join squad if I am not a competitive swimmer?
Yes our program caters to all, from those just seeking fitness and fun through to aspiring future national representatives.
Do you offer makeup lessons?
Yes we offer makeup lessons. Each child is eligible for 12 makeup lessons spread out over the year. You just need to notify us via the app, email or phone prior to the lesson commencing. Makeup lessons are subject to availability.
Can I use my $150 Swimstart voucher or Flairplay voucher?
Yes! we do accept swimstart vouchers for those eligible. Your voucher needs to be emailed through with the name of the child it is allocated for.
We also accept Fairplay vouchers these can only be utilised for squad fee’s or club enrolment. Unfortunately learn to swim doesn’t qualify for Fairplay voucher use.
