As we gather to celebrate Sunshine Coast Grammar’s first 30 years, we honour the milestones, achievements and culture that has shaped our school from the beginning. We not Me. Schools are often judged by what can be measured, yet the deepest markers of success are often intangible: the sense of belonging, Strength of Purpose and depth of faith, the relationships, the shared mission and the daily experience of being known, valued and encouraged.
As our Principal, Mrs Anna Owen reminded us at our recent Open Day, culture lives in the spaces between people — in laughter, encouragement, kindness, loyalty and hope. It is built through everyday interactions and sustained by people who show up for one another with consistency and care.
“What people remember about schools is not only the buildings, the programs or the results; it is how a place makes them feel.”
Strong schools are built with clarity, discipline and a shared commitment. Teachers, students, staff, families and leaders all shape the experience of this community. Each interaction, each story and each act of care strengthens the culture of the school and builds trust in what Grammar stands for. We Not Me.
As we celebrate Sunshine Coast Grammar's 30th Birthday this week, we give thanks to all who have built, sustained and loved this school. Grammar’s story has always been more than achievements alone; it is a story of people, place and Grammar pride.
Happy Birthday, Sunshine Coast Grammar.
