Last year, our school reached an extraordinary milestone, with 19 students selected for international honours, marking the highest number in our 28-year history. Adding to this achievement, six staff members also achieved international recognition, three as athletes representing Australia and three as international-level coaches. Among these accomplishments, one student and staff member participated in the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.
The breadth of talent within our school is impressive, with a total of 270 students representing the Sunshine Coast District, Region and State across 19 different sports in 2024.
We take immense pride in fostering an environment that empowers our student-athletes to reach their full potential through our dedicated ROAR Performance Program. The initiative is available to high-performing students and provides support in balancing their sporting and academic endeavours while maintaining a well-rounded and healthy lifestyle.
While our core focus remains on education, we proudly value and embrace the strengths outside of the classroom and recognise the heavy training and competition commitments of our students. Now in its third year, the signature Program offers support in four key areas – Academic Support, Athlete Development, Pathways and Personal Growth.
The high-level achievements accomplished in 2024 reflect the dedication and resilience demonstrated by our student-athletes and are an affirmation of the exceptional education, opportunities and support provided at Grammar.
At Sunshine Coast Grammar School, success in sport is measured by more than medals, elite level selections and the pursuit of excellence on a global stage. Success at Grammar is grounded in our values that inspire participation, foster integrity and nurture personal growth. Our sporting culture seeks to develop exceptional young individuals who contribute positively to our school and the broader community.
