Sunshine Coast Grammar School is proud to demonstrate our dedication to the region as a Foundation Sponsor of Sunshine Coast 2032, an organisation focused on maximising the opportunities presented by the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Principal of Sunshine Coast Grammar School, Mrs Anna Owen is thrilled to be a Foundation Sponsor and looks forward to the opportunities the 2032 Games will provide for our region and youth.

As a Foundation Sponsor, we are honoured to play a leading role in shaping our region’s journey towards the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Games present incredible opportunities for our youth – both as athletes and through numerous job prospects - as well as for our local businesses and organisations on the Sunshine Coast.

“This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to engaging with our community at a grassroots level and ensuring our region maximises the opportunities created by the Games, to leave a lasting legacy.

Sunshine Coast Grammar School is passionate about supporting our region, as well as young aspiring student-athletes. Outstanding achievements by Grammar student-athletes include Grace Brimelow, who represented Australia in triathlon at the 2024 Paris Paralympics; Addison Houslip, who won gold at the 2025 Europe Triathlon Junior Cup; and Harry Colley and Sam Eyles, who both represented Australia in water polo. Grammar Swim Coach Emilie Miller also represented Australia in Wheelchair Rugby at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.

In addition to supporting our own high-performance athletes, Grammar is also hosting the Australian and Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby teams this week, as they train and compete in a special one-off test match—a friendly rematch of the Paris 2024 Paralympics Bronze Medal clash.

Sunshine Coast Grammar School also recently partnered with the Sunshine Coast Council to promote a greener and more sustainable region through its '7 Years to Grow'  initiative leading up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games. The campaign encouraged schools and community groups to plant native trees as a symbol of sustainability, growth, and legacy.

As the countdown to the Games begins, Sunshine Coast Grammar School appreciates the unique opportunities that the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games present for our students, both as athletes and through the many new job opportunities arising in the planning, implementation, and support services associated with the Games. We recognise this is an exciting time not only for the Sunshine Coast, but also for our school and students. Grammar will continue to lead the Sunshine Coast as a premier Olympic pathways school.
