Sunshine Coast Grammar Swimming Club has continued its impressive 2026 season, recording the highest finish of any school-based swimming club in the state at the recent Queensland Short Course Championships.
Represented by 57 swimmers, the club produced exceptional performances across four days of competition against Queensland’s leading swimmers, taking home 10 gold, 16 silver and 15 bronze medals, as well as an impressive 72 top 10 finishes.
The outstanding medal haul and depth of performances saw Sunshine Coast Grammar Swimming Club finish sixth overall in the club point score standings, making it the highest-ranked school-based swimming club in Queensland.
Head Coach, Luke Stafford, said the results were a testament to the hard work and commitment of the swimmers and coaching staff throughout the season.
“To achieve a 76 per cent personal best conversion rate at a championship level is a fantastic outcome and reflects the hard work our swimmers have put in over many months of training,” said Mr Stafford.
The performance at the Queensland Championships builds on the club’s recent success at the Wide Bay Short Course Championships, where the club claimed the overall championship title.
With another successful championship campaign completed, the club continues to strengthen its reputation as one of Queensland's leading swimming programs.
