Sunshine Coast Grammar School is proud to announce that its Head of Pathways and Partnerships, Wanda Hayes has been unanimously endorsed as the thirteenth Life Member of the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA).

This prestigious recognition reflects Ms Hayes’s exceptional commitment and contribution to the field of career development over her remarkable 27-year tenure with the CDAA.

The CDAA is a distinguished professional community of multi-sectoral career development practitioners dedicated to supporting all Australians at all stages of their working lives.

Life Membership at the CDAA is a rare honour, bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication and advocacy in the career development field.

Ms Hayes has been a proactive member of the CDAA for 27 years and has served in various capacities, including as National President (2017 – 2021), National Vice-President (2015 – 2016), as a National Executive Committee General Member (2009 – 2012).

Ms Hayes’s influence on the career development field also extends beyond her contributions to CDAA, to regular contributions to the Australian Career Practitioner magazine, as well as commentary on career development matters on radio and in print media.

“I am honoured to be recognised as a Life Member of CDAA and remain committed to advancing career development and supporting our students throughout their professional journeys,” said Ms Hayes.

As Head of Partnerships and Pathways at Sunshine Coast Grammar School, Ms Hayes supports and equips students in Year 10 – 12 with the skills to successfully achieve a diverse range of vocational and tertiary qualifications, including Business, Engineering, Fitness and Aviation, as well as School-Based Traineeships and Apprenticeships.

Reflecting on Ms Hayes’s achievements, Sunshine Coast Grammar School Principal Mrs Anna Owen added, “We are exceptionally proud of Wanda’s well-deserved recognition as a Life Member of CDAA.
